On November 5, 2021, I released my first book, an accomplishment directed and produced entirely by God. From conception to birth, I held no other responsibility other than to do what I was told. Since its release, I’ve been in awe of the many testimonies from friends, family, and strangers who found inspiration and healing from a project that took over three years to bring to life.
The road to becoming an author created its fair share of hardships. At times the journey was lonely, intimidating, and too revealing of the life I never wanted to share with others. Nevertheless, I could not forfeit the assignment. God had (and still has) a tight grip on the life I no longer dictate. And if you’ve already read The Power of I AM: A Journey to Self then you know I’ve come too far to jeopardize God’s plan for my life.
Earlier this year, a seed was planted in my heart to expand the ways a person could experience The Power of I AM: A Journey to Self. I wanted the world to hear my voice as they experienced my stories and truth, but I had no idea how to begin. Instead of worrying about how to make this dream a reality, I chose to pray and allow God to lead me. And just like that, every piece of the puzzle came together, and suddenly I was on an official journey to bring my first book to life.
Today I am excited to share that readers can listen to The Power of I AM: A Journey to Self! The audiobook is available at many of your favorite retailers, including Spotify, Audible, iTunes, Apple Books, Amazon, Audiobook, and more.
This goal in many ways felt like a missing part of God’s vision. I am just happy to be part of the journey and will remain an open vessel to His will for as long as I live.
Friend, if you’ve been given an assignment, finish the task! No matter how difficult the journey, you cannot allow unanswered prayers to stop you. Believe in yourself even if you must have faith alone.
I wanted to give up many times during my journey. The roadblocks to publishing a book seemed like a huge giant. I didn't have an army of team members to help publish my book. It was just me, myself, and I. Although the task was great, I pushed to the other side not because I am strong, but because God is. Don’t allow your dreams to lay dormant because you don’t believe in the promises of God. So what if the process is too long? Who cares if you look silly? It would be a shame to have an assignment designed to change the world, only to give up because the waters were too unknown.
I don’t want you to be the person living with unfinished business.
Don’t imprison your gift. Give your dreams a chance. Trust the process and the one true living God leading you.
