God be loosed in me and have your way.
For the past decade, my exaltation of God has continued with passion. I’ve been following the way of Christ for ten years and every season has looked different yet somehow remained the same. God is…..constant, wise, and true.
This Lenten season, I decided to remain committed to what I chose to let go of and focus more on God like never before. It was a revelatory experience, causing me to develop a deeper connection to myself as well as the vastness of God. My maturity in Christ has risen a level.
Ten years ago, God was a figure I’d heard about and today He is the savior I couldn’t fathom living without. It has taken several years of constant prayers, cries, trials, and victories to understand my faith in God. My relationship with Christ has been practical and uncomplicated. We’ve done life together in a way that mirrors best friends as well as a loving parent guiding His child.
Fun fact: God is much more “human” than people describe. Yes, He is mighty, but there’s a reason for Jesus. When I’ve faced some unbelievable storms, God has come down to sit with me. In the midst of my anger, God has never shut me out. God is in tune with the people and world He created.
Lent is more than just choosing to fast, it is a renewal of your love for Christ. It is a time to commune with God and refocus yourself on His promises. And Holy Week, the week leading up to Easter is like the “super bowl” of connectivity, celebration, and focus on the One who loves us unconditionally.
My challenge to you is to not only attend church on Easter but to invite Christ into your everyday life. Don’t let His whispers, asking you to give Him a try, fall upon deaf ears.
I can share my undying love for Christ because he’s never allowed me to drown in deep waters. His impact changed me enough to release my book The Power of I AM: A Journey to Self. I could share my love for God a thousand times over, but until you know Christ for yourself…..my testimony will be just another story.
I don’t want the goodness of the Almighty God to be foreign to you. My hope is for you to know the good news for yourself.
As we march towards Easter, remember that there is a God who loves you without bounds. There is nothing you need to do or a person you need to become in order to come to Christ.
If you’ve completed Lent, I am proud of you my friend and if you’ve never participated or haven’t remained committed there are brand new mercies waiting for you.
May we all remain in awe of God’s deep love for us. A love that sacrificed His only Son so that you and I could sin over and over until we got it right.
Thank you, Lord, for remaining committed to our salvation.
